Wonderful stay! Had a few minor problems but the owner took care of everything right away and she was a joy. Would stay again without hesitation. Truckee is so beautiful in August. We live in Florida and it was fabulous to have cool weather that time of year. Can't wait to return! The Hummel's

This cabin is fine for a weekend stay up on Tahoe. However, the kitchen and electronics are a bit dated which we don't find that often in rentals. We could not get the antiquated electronics to work along with the 14 different remotes. Having kids watch a DVD while cooking dinner really helps out after a long day of skiing. Otherwise, it was neat, clean but for the price I expected a few more modern conveniences.
Thank you for your review. Since reading your review this owner has purchased a brand new Samsung LCD HD TV and home entertainment system including new speakers. This system is accompanied by a new "smart" remote. One remote that controls all devices. Updating the kitchen is next on her list!

The home was well equipped. Lots of artifacts to look at. It was very easy to get Squaw Valley. We enjoyed the stay.

The Lucky Tree cabin is as adorable as the pictures suggest. It's full of family comforts and memorabilia, and right in the beautiful Tahoe Donner woods. It's an easy drive into the downtown area, and very close to Donner Lake and museum. The rooms are cozy, and all the amenities of home are there, including a nice TV and selection of DVD movies.

This home is our new is our family's new and most favorite vacation spot! We have stayed her twice now and absolutely loved it both times!!! The home is so cute and full of charming features. The owner gave a true rustic cabin feeling to the home which creates a warm, inviting memorable experience for anyone wishing to stay! We have it booked again in the summer and cannot wait to get back there!!!

This house was REALLY dirty. Cobwebs and dead bugs everywhere. No air conditioning and only one small fan. None of the windows opened. We were miserable. Enjoyed browsing the fun antique decorations, but would never stay there again. Thank you to Pullen Realty for relocating us to a different property.

The house we stayed in was nice but I was a little surprised at how primitive it was. We were not expecting a truly "log cabin" environment. The carpets we not in the best of shape and there were no curtains on the windows so that we could not be seen at night when the lights were on. I feel the price was a little steep for the facility. Otherwise it was nice.

We had an amazing time at Lucky Tree! The Pullen Rental Group made reservations/booking and check-out easy and hassle free! By far the best customer service experience! The cabin itself was incredible! So much memorabilia from Courtney's family history building/owning the cabin. We loved the rustic cozy feeling! The welcome basket, extra food items for use and cooking ware, the huge dvd selection, and board games were fantastic. Cranium, one of the board games there, had dried out clay but it was an easy fix. We just drove to the store and bought some play-doh. We decided to leave it at the cabin so that other renters could enjoy the game as well! Another thing we took advantage of was the transfer guest passes to the Tahoe Donner private beach. Our daughter had a blast helping other beach goers catch crawdads and swim in the blocked off kid friendly part of the beach! I never once had to worry she would get swept away by the current or drown. All in all, the vacation experience was top notch! If there is anything that I would suggest for an even better experience is to upgrade the mattresses in the rooms. Some of my family said that their beds were too sunk in and could feel the springs in their backs when they moved at night but it didn't ruin their time at the cabin...the fun we had on vacation surely outweighed the mattresses. From the bottom of our hearts we thank Courtney for allowing vacationers to enjoy the welcoming and magical atomsphere of the Lucky Tree Cabin! And we also thank everyone at the Pullen Group for second to none customer service!! My family and I, will definitely be renting from this cabin and others in the future and will highly recommend your business to others! We are looking forward to renting in the winter season, as we are also avid snow boarders! Thanks again to all!!!

We loved this cabin, it was fun to look at all of the old pictures, snowshoes, etc decorated throughout the rooms. Well stocked kitchen, clean and tons of Dvd's/games to play there. Good location in relation to downtown Truckee and Tahoe Donner.

For a June get-away this year, my family and I stayed for three days in the Lucky Tree Cabin in Truckee, Ca. We booked our reservation through Homeaway.com and had seen a few photos. We were absolutely charmed by this cabin. It had been built in the late 40's, from what we could see from photos and had been lovingly kept by the same family ever since. We felt honored to have been allowed to stay there amidst family photos and memories. Fabulous vintage decor with modern amenities and furniture. Though "dog friendly", there was not a trace of dog in the place, which is not always the case in our experience. Of the three places we stayed on this vacation, and of the five in all we have booked through Homeaway of our vacation history, this by far was our favorite. One of the things that made this reservation so successful, was that the contact on the other end of the Homeaway website, was the Pullen Real Estate agency. They took care of the booking and financial end and were there to insure that everything was going well. I can not think of anything that we did not like about this experience, except for the silly fact, that amongst the extensive culinary tools provided, there wasn't a single silicone scraper, spatula tool. (I just happen to like these better that wood.). The only other minor thing, (that would not affect a future reservation) is the fact the largest bed is a queen. My Hubby is 6'4 and we prefer a King whenever possible. It just made for a cozy stay. When we left it had begun to rain, and a train could be heard in the distance (the sound carried because the cloud cover was keeping it down). Amidst the rain wind and train, wolves could be heard howling. We really wished that we had spent our entire 12 days there at the Luck Tree Cabin.

The cabin is perfect for a family and kids - clean. We were able to use the rec. center and the lake is about a 7 minute drive. Nature at it's best. Full running home, everything you would need. Great walking - not to hilly (Bikes would be great). Shopping just a short drive away. We ate dinner every night at the dinning table and breakfast outside. Great games to play.

We could not be more thrilled with the Log Cabin rental and Pullen Management. We booked the cabin to run in a 10k, but the smoke from the Yosemite Rim Fire had traveled to Tahoe and the event was cancelled. Because of the smoke we spent more time in and around the cabin then we had planned. The outcome is that the kids we brought had the time to explore the many magical nooks and crannies of the house and yard. The owner has filled the house with interesting relics from the Truckee and Tahoe area and history. They had a blast imagining what old keys opened and discussing each antique. The house was clean and very well stocked and we appreciate the lovely gift basket from Pullen and local wine. We will rent another vacation home from them. The check in and out process was easy and time saving. All good and thank you.

We wanted to stay in a Log Cabin and the Lucky Tree Cabin was perfect. Finding available dates and making the reservation were super easy on-line. The cabin is spacious and has wonderful authentic historic artifacts throughout. I was impressed with the condition and cleanliness of this rental and the fact that it was well stocked with any household item (even the most insignificant, i.e., paper towels in the kitchen, place mats, cleaning sponges and brushes, etc.). And, the gift basket was wonderful and very much appreciated. We've stayed in many very nice rental homes and cabins in the Tahoe area, but this is our favorite so far. It's the perfect mix of rustic and five stars.

The cabin is beautiful and well stocked with all things you may need. It is close to all the pools, golf courses and down town. The food at the Lodge Restaurant is Great (only 11/2 miles away). If you are going to be fly fishing the folks at mountain Hardware can point you in the right direction. Lots to do and only about 30 minutes from North Lake Tahoe. Great Cabin!
