This is the perfect location for everyone's ski or outdoor adventure. This 2650 sq ft Tahoe style home provides plenty of room for guests to spread out in the great room, family room and loft, with 3 large private bedrooms, and a queen size Murphy bed in the bonus room.
On the main level you enter through a mudroom followed by a spacious floor plan encompassing the living room, dining area, kitchen, two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a bonus room. Each bedroom has a Queen bed and shares a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The living area has a wood burning fireplace and plenty of comfy seating for chilly nights. The dining area has seating for 10 around a beautifully set table for entertaining large groups. The kitchen is supplied with your usual kitchen appliances and equipped with coffee maker, blender, electric beater, toaster and place settings for 10 along with teas, coffee, and cooking spices to make you feel at home.
At the other wing of the main level you will walk down a couple steps into the Bonus room. This room has Cable TV with DVD and a wet bar. There is a Murphy bed which pulls down from the wall holding a full size Queen mattress. There is also a gas fireplace along with a DVD library.
Upstairs is the loft which has a trundle bed with two Twin beds and a great place for kids to play games. The master suite is especially large accommodating a California King bed and an attached bathroom featuring a jetted tub and dual sinks.
This is a beautiful all season retreat perfect for outdoor activities all year long. The owners have spent 10 years improving the garden so guests can enjoy the abundance of flowers and birds surrounding the yard in the Spring and Summer, as well as the changing colors of the Aspens in the Fall. Croquet is a favorite with families and groups which can be enjoyed on the large lawn out back. You will never get tired of just relaxing on the large back deck listening to the creek or swinging in the two seated lawn swings just watching the nature around you.
The hikers among you will be ecstatic to have a trailhead connecting you to the Tahoe Donner trail system just across the street. And this couldn't be a better spot for you equestrians or snowshoe enthusiasts. Depending on when the snows melt the Tahoe Donner equestrian center is open three to four months out of the year with more than 40 miles of trails to explore. The Tahoe Donner stables are open to the public for boarding and you can easily walk to the stables through the woods from the house. Now that is first class horse camping!
The house is located just a block from the downhill ski area, and is accessible by a neighborhood trail right across the street to the Olympic Cross Country Center with 40 miles of trails. A flat driveway and only a couple steps on the main floor makes this home accessible to everyone.
Don't forget that by renting in Tahoe Donner your party can use the provided guest passes to the amenities which, for a nominal fee, gets you into the recreation center with hot tubs and a heated pool as well as a full workout center. In the summer you can enjoy the private beach on Donner Lake, and you get "guest" rates at the ski hills in the winter.
The weather in Truckee couldn't be finer. Escape the heat of the valley and many other parts of the country to a cool 70's in the Spring and summer, and fall. The winters are normally great as well. Of course we get snowstorms, but they are usually followed by beautiful sunny days, just perfect for skiing or snowshoeing.
*This home can be wheelchair accessible with only 2 steps at the entry to get into the main floor. The entry door width is 35" wide and the bedroom door width is 30". However, the shower/tub is a regular style one not wheelchair accessible. Although, the Tahoe Donner Recreation Center has Wheelchair accessible showers if needed.

We loved the home. It was spacious and well equiped. There were a few quirky issues, but I think they were due to renters abuse rather then lack of care on the owner and management. The home could use a good deep cleaning, but nothing we couldn't spiff up on our own. The kids absolutely loved the back yard. Perfect for little guys. They spent every possible moment sledding and snowboarding down the little slope behind the house.

This place worked out just fine for our large family ski trip. We had 10 people and 2 dogs with plenty of space. The garage and driveway fit 4 cars just fine. The large dining table was great for family dinners. The house was clean and comfortable. We did have some service issues. When we arrived, there was no hand soap in the bathrooms, no dish sponge in the kitchen and no extra toilet paper besides what was already on the roll in each of the bathrooms. For a family of 10 people over 4 days, extra TP was definitely needed! The description and contract should have mentioned to bring these items so that we could have been prepared. When we called the rental line about these things, we were told they would bring them by, but they never did. Also, we had no hot water in one of the downstairs bathrooms, but they did send a plumber out that day to fix it. Additionally, the 3 deck patios off the back were piled high with 5 feet of snow. It would have been nice if they had shoveled these before our arrival, as we were not able to use them at all. All in all, our stay was pleasant, with some room for improvement on behalf of the rental company.

We enjoyed our 4 nights at this lovely home very much. We were able to get an early check-in which was helpful and appreciated. We had a wonderful Christmas celebration with all of our children and grandchildren. We were however disappointed upon arrival at the cleanliness and prepping of the house before we arrived. It was freezing cold in the house (we would have appreciated someone turning on the heat before our arrival at 2pm) and it took all that day/night to get the house somewhat warm. The bottom room never got warm even with the gas fireplace turned on. There was no running water as we found out when we used the 3 bathroom toilets. Fortunately Buff did come out within half an hour to turn the water on but that was disappointing. Then when we finally went to bed none of the 3 beds were made and we had to scrabble to find sheets and make our own beds. The towels in the 3 bathrooms were not cleaned upon our arrival because they had a terrible odor so we had to wash all the towels the next morning. The upstairs bathroom sink was dirty and I had to clean that. The faucets were almost unusable - you might want to check and see if they have washers in them. The dishwasher was full of dishes, clean, but still full that we had to put away. And, yuck, as we were using the pots/pans there was a dead mouse in the cabinet -which we just left there, ugh! The garage door opener did not work so getting in/out of the garage meant someone always had to get out of the car to open it - which on the days we were there Dec. 22-26 a huge snowstorm hit so that was a drag. But, despite the above, we did have a good time, it was an excellent location for families with children. What caught our eye was the fact that this was a pet friendly home which is what we wanted, though we ended up not bringing our dog. The house was comfortable, easy to find and close to Truckee and all the ski slopes we wanted to use.

The service with Pullen was perfect without a hitch. The home is absolutely lovely. Very comfortable furnishings to curl up in and truly relax - unique inviting decor. Master bedroom with a view out vaulted windows. I lounged in bed with a book for hours! Every room had a unique inviting draw to it. The bonus room with gas fireplace was striking. Well stocked kitchen,,2 easy step down decks to the backyard,. Quiet neighborhood right across from the x-country ski facility. Easy drive off of Highway 80, 15 min. drive to downdown Truckee. I would stay here again in a heartbeat because of the overall warmth and beauty of this home.

My friends and I had a wonderful time in this home. It was perfect for us (three couples) and two young ones (2-years and 4-years old). The view out to the trees while it was snowing was just magical. The house is very well appointed, thoughtfully laid out and very comfortable. We've rented other Tahoe homes in the past, but this is the first that I'd like to rent again.
